Edge quality of laser-cut plastic is typically excellent, and doesn’t require secondary polishing.
Acrylic is a popular choice of material for designers, as it comes in many colours, opaque, tinted and clear forms. It’s also the only material which fully vapourises when it’s cut – a clean process that results in a superior edge quality finish.
Types of plastics that are best suited to laser cutting include ABS, Acrylic, PETG, Polycarbonate, Polypropylene, Nylon, HIPS, LDPE/HDPE, Mylar and Styrene (HIPS).

Laser cutting and engraving is capable of producing the finest level of intricate detail. Typical applications for laser cut plastics include Acrylic jewellery, point-of-sale items, signage, decorative panels, architectural installations, bespoke furniture, and engineered components.
Most plastics can be safely cut by lasers but our stock is limited to materials which conform to health and safety standards in relation to dangerous fumes emitted by this process
Our laser services are on tap as a secondary process to customers of our precision plastics engineering company, All Axis, when engraving and marking machined plastic components is required.
